Logitech is trying something new with its latest flagship mouse and keyboard. The company added a cushion. It is a first for the company. The new Signature Comfort Plus line puts the focus on physical comfort during long work hours.
The cushion sits on the palm rest of the mouse. The keyboard also gets a padded wrist rest. Logitech said the design aims to reduce pressure points. The goal is to make extended typing and clicking less tiring.
Ergonomics Take Center Stage
Logitech has long offered ergonomic peripherals. But adding a soft cushion to standard shapes is a new direction. The Signature Comfort Plus mouse uses a contoured shape with a fabric covered cushion. The keyboard features a plush leatherette wrist rest. Both are designed for right handed users with a sculpted grip.
The company claims the cushion material helps wick away moisture. It also provides a soft landing for the wrist. Logitech says this can help prevent fatigue over an eight hour workday.
Why This Matters
Millions of people spend hours at a computer. Wrist and hand discomfort is common. Ergonomic accessories can be expensive or bulky. Logitech is bringing a comfort feature to standard peripherals at a moderate price. The Signature Comfort Plus mouse costs about $50. The keyboard is around $60. That makes ergonomic cushioning accessible to more office workers and remote employees.
The move signals a broader industry push. Other peripheral makers may follow with similar padding features. For now, Logitech is betting that a simple cushion can make a real difference in daily comfort.
Available Now
The Signature Comfort Plus mouse and keyboard are available now through Logitech and major retailers. They connect via Logitech’s proprietary receiver or Bluetooth. Battery life is rated at up to 24 months for the mouse and 36 months for the keyboard. The cushion is not removable. Logitech warns against machine washing. But the company says the material can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
